PresidentEri Kroh is President of Sandstone Capital where he focuses on high level evaluation of loan opportunities. Mr. Kroh is also President of Sandstone Properties, Inc., a premier investor and manager of commercial retail, industrial and office properties.
Mr. Kroh's 36 year track record in the real estate industry provides Sandstone Capital with a competitive advantage in the evaluation of properties and risk management. Prior to Sandstone, Mr. Kroh was President of a medical laser distribution company.
Mr. Kroh holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Manchester in England and studied electrical engineering in Israel, where he served in the Israeli Air Force.
Chief Operating Officer
Josiah Puder is the Chief Operating Officer at Sandstone Capital where he manages loan originations, servicing, and internal and external operations. He is responsible for capital attraction and deployment and focuses on the strategic growth of the company.
Prior to Sandstone, Mr. Puder worked in various strategic management roles with Luxottica Group, a large Italian multi-national. A licensed attorney, Mr. Puder has worked as both an in-house attorney and in private practice, where he began his career as a litigator.
Mr. Puder received his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Rutgers University and a Juris Doctor from Rutgers, where he was a member of the Law Review.
David Garcia is a licensed California mortgage broker and Vice President of Sandstone Capital where he concentrates on the evaluation of loan opportunities and risk management. Mr. Garcia also serves as Vice President of Sandstone Properties, where he manages operations and is involved in every aspect of managing and leasing approximately 1 million square feet of office and industrial properties located throughout the United States and Costa Rica.
Prior to Sandstone, Mr. Garcia worked at Kilroy Realty Corporation as Director of Asset Management, overseeing the management and leasing of approximately 2.8 million square feet office and industrial properties located in the Los Angeles region. Mr. Garcia also worked for The Voit Companies as General Manager of the 2.3 million square foot Warner Center project, located in Woodland Hills, California.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Loyola Marymount University and an MBA in Real Estate & Corporate Finance from USC, Mr. Garcia brings to Sandstone an extensive background of over 20 years in professional real estate management.
Chief Financial Officer
Andrew Murray is the CFO of Sandstone Properties and an executive of Sandstone Capital where he concentrates on capital markets and financial reporting activities.
Prior to Sandstone, Mr. Murray worked at Strategic Realty Capital as CFO overseeing capital markets activities, financial reporting and investor relations. Mr. Murray also worked as CFO for Meruelo Maddux Properties, a publicly-traded urban infill redevelopment firm located in downtown Los Angeles. Prior to Meruelo Maddux Properties, Mr. Murray was a Wall Street real estate investment banker at FBR Capital Markets focusing on West Coast IPOs and M&A.
Mr. Murray is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania with over 25 years of real estate experiences.
Elaine Burkow is the Controller of Sandstone Capital, overseeing all the cash management, banking, financial reporting, tax reporting, BRE & NMLS reporting, human resource/payroll/benefit activities, and systems for all lending activity. She also oversees the company IT support, including network upgrades and all computer hardware systems. Additionally, Ms. Burkow is the principal financial manager for Sandstone Properties, in which capacity she has served since 2006.
Prior to Sandstone, Ms. Burkow most recently served five years as Chief Financial Officer for Global Integrity Realty Corporation. As CFO of Global Integrity, Ms. Burkow’s responsibilities included cash management, banking and investor relations, financial reporting and accounting and property management systems.
In addition, Ms. Burkow has provided Real Estate Financial Management, Consulting and Support for companies including Grubb & Ellis., Cushman & Wakefield, Charles Dunn and Aames Financial.
Gabriela Gomez is responsible for loan processing and assists with all aspects of Sandstone Capital’s operations.
Prior to Sandstone, Ms. Gomez worked at Bank of America from 2011 to 2015 as a foreclosure specialist and relationship manager. Additionally, Ms. Gomez has had extensive experience working for various real estate offices in Los Angeles as a processor for loan modifications.
Ms. Gomez received her AA in Business Administration from Glendale Community College and is currently attending Mt. St. Mary’s College with a focus in Business Administration and Marketing. Ms. Gomez is bilingual in English and Spanish.
